One school in Kakamega appreciated a police officer that was overseeing the administration of the Kenya Primary Certificate of Primary School (KCPE) Exams. The School Head together with his Deputy showed their gratitude to the officer by gifting her with a cockerel. It was a blissful moment for the officer the the school fraternity after the officer's service to them.
Police officers were deployed in various examination centers to ensure that the exercise was smoothly running. In some stations, the officers had to take full charge. It is worth appreciating these security personnel who sacrifice much for sake of others.
The school head said that it was a pleasure working with the officer. Examination officials were quite impressed with her kindness and professionalism. Kenyans have lauded the move to award the officer. Most Kenyans assume the significant role of such frontline workers.
It was a rare show of gratitude that has since touched thousands of Kenyans' hearts.
