Education cabinet secretary Prof George Magoha has expressed his disappointment over raising cases of fires in schools. Speaking to the media Prof George Magoha said government and other education stakeholders should reintroduce corporal punishment in schools to avert the cases of unrest in schools.
Prof George Magoha also added that boarding schools may be abolished to curb the cases of fires that have been witnessed in schools this term.
On the other side interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiangi said the country cannot be controlled by children and sent a stern warning to all students who will be found culpable of burning their schools
"The country can not be controlled by students and children. Let's learn instill discipline in our kids both at home and at school and for this reason n, caning should be returned to school. The government can't keep on building while kids are destroying", interior Cs Fred Matiangi said
