On Monday, May 23, the parents of Makongeni Primary which is at Katulye sub-location, Masinga sub-county, Machakos county have gone a strike and collected their children out of that school.

The parents were claiming of bad school governance where they were saying the school principal has not been giving them a good report of how the school funds are been used. They also said that the principal has been using insults to the parents and students.

The parents are crying to the county government of Machakos to change the management of that school. The government should come up with a solution to end this issue of bad school governance and embezzlement of school funds.

Is so irritating that parents are sacrificing a lot with this tough economy to keep their children in school and then the school management fails to give a good report of how the school money is being used.
