Good News to Invigilators and Supervisor As KNEC Set to Pay them On This Date.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has assured all teachers who helped supervise the KCPE and KCSE exams 2021/2022 that they will receive their payments at the beginning of next month direct into their accounts. This came after most teachers have taken to social media to complain over KNEC's failure to pay teachers who invigilated and oversaw the exams in good time. However, the source revealed that the Council have indicated that they will not compensate deputy head teachers, principals and science teachers who prepare and deliver practicals for the KCSE exams.

The Kenya National Examinations Council had hired 242,406 instructors to assist with the monitoring and marking of the national exams in 2021.According to Eric Wafukho who is treasury CAS assured teachers that the money to pay them for supervising the exams had already been planned for and that they need not be concerned. As per to Wafukho, the government funded the entire examination process through the Treasury, including paying teachers, vehicles, and security officers.
