All Parents, Teachers & Learners Should be Aware of the Crucial Calendar Dates as Schools Reopen

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. It helps people become better citizens, get a better paid Job, shows the difference between good and bad. Education shows us the importance of hard work and at the same time, helps us grow and develop.

Thus, we able to shape a better society to live in by knowing and respecting rights, laws and regulations. Learning languages through education helps people interact with different people in order to exchange ideas, knowledge, good practices. Finally it teaches us to live in harmony.

The Ministry of Education is responsible for national policies and programmes that ensure Kenyans access equality and affordable school education, post school, higher education and academic research. Therefore the Ministry of Education provides the academic calendar that guides the programmes in both primary and secondary schools across the country.

1.Closing date for term two

All primary and secondary schools across the country will close for term two of 2021 on 23rd December 2021 and then break for 10 days. Therefore the short holiday will last for 10 days.

2. Half term break for term two

Half term break is equally important for all learners in primary schools and secondary schools. Unfortunately there will be no half term break for term two. Therefore teachers and learners to prepare for the marathon learning.

3. Holiday break for term two

Therefore according to the report shared by the Ministry of Education, the holidays break for term two of 2021 will last for 10 days.

4. Sports activities

As a matter of fact all sports activities were banned because of the Corona pandemic. Sports activities are therefore equally important but the Ministry of Education haven't given a go ahead on the same.

5. Opening date for term three

Opening date for term three will take place on 3rd January 2022 and it will last up to 4th of March 2022.

6. Closing date for term three

All primary schools and secondary schools across the country will close on 4th of March 2021.

7. KCPE Examination

KCPE Examination will start on 7th March 2022 to 10th March 2022. Scheduled to take four days.

8. KCSE Examination

Finally KCSE examinations will start on 4th of April to 22nd April 2022. It scheduled to take three weeks.
