The Query Management Information System (QMIS)
It is an electronic platform for submission and processing of questions relating to examination results like Certification of Examination Results for those who have lost their certificates, Confirmation of Examination Results, and Equation of Foreign Qualifications.
Other problems catered by the system are:-Biodata amendments such as name, photo, gender, year of birth, birth certificate number, citizenship and entry code.Recoveries for KCPE/KCSE result slips, certificates, and result printout is also done. Problems associated with marks queries like absenteeism, missing marks and payment queries are also sorted here.
Here is a detailed schedule of the QMIS process:
One needs a computer or a mobile phone with internet access.Using the web address https://qmis.knec.ac.ke to access the content of the QMIS system;
This is how you Register for the QMIS System
Click on the register button.
Fill in the below details as needed, and click the register button.
Your log-in credentials will be sent to your email.
To Log in to the QMIS System ,Click on the link “click here to log in” and Enter the email credentials and click on log in button.
If forgotten your password, click “forgot password” and a new password is sent to your email.
To log in the QMIS system,Enter the email address and click on log in.
1. The User Manual will help to navigate through the portal.
2. Documents that you should have are as follows:
a) Copy of the certificate [s] or result slips[s].
b) A legal affidavit on the identifying of the applicant.
c) A Letter recommendation letter from employer to KNEC.
d) A Police Abstract
e) A Copy of Identity Card [ID]/Passport or Birth Certificate
3. The User can now identify the requirements suitable for his or her query and upload scanned copies of the required documents.
4. A payment of the amount as directed by the system.
5. The Payments are done by M-Pesa;
6. When processing of the query is successful, KNEC uses the provided email or phone number, to notify the client to collect their processed document(s).
7. At the point of collection, the client is required to avail original copies of the documents attached during the application process.
8. The QMIS can also help to check the processing status of your certificate.
