Prof Joseph Chacha has been appointed Maasai Mara University interim vice-chancellor.
He succeeded takes Professor Kitche Magak who only held the higher learning institution as vice-chancellor for two years.
While speaking to the press after his appointment, Prof Chacha vowed to include the university staff and work on pertinent problems that wrecked havoc at the learning institution.
“I was the one of the founders of thi learning institution and it is good am back again. I pledge to work closely with the university staff to make sure we move the institution to its recommended level.
“What we need is to paint a good portrait of Maasai Mara University out there,” said Prof Chacha.
His appointment to the great university was seconded by the institution's unionists.
Heade by Kenya University Staff Union (KUSU) branch secretary Galfen Omuse, Chapter Secretary Bonface Isalambo and chairperson Dr Wesley Omwoyo thanked the team for appointing the new vice-chancellor.
