Unfortunate, What Happened to Students Who Were Heading Home For The Midterm Holiday in Machakos

All schools in the country closed for a midterm break today, midterm break is expected to last until Sunday 29th May 2022. However worrying report indicates that one student died, four others injured in separate Machakos accident. Both accidents were reported to the KBC police station. In summary, the police commander Monica Kimani confirmed that the first accident occurred at Nguluni area along Nairobi-Kangundo highway on Thursday, 26th May 2022.

The police commander revealed that the students were heading homes after the school closed for a midterm break. Kimani further indicated that the body was moved to Kangundo level 4 Hospital Mortuary where it was preserved awaiting a post mortem disposal. The victims were also rushed to the same facility where they were admitted and undergoing treatment.

Muindi Mbingu secondary school principal Daniel Muli also confirmed that the students who were involved in the accident were from his school. Therefore drivers and motorists have been warned against driving carelessly especially this Midterm Holiday period.
