The teachers across the country are in the April holiday following the closure of schools late last month. However, some are in Nairobi marking the KCSE exams.Education CS Professor Magoha has said that the results will be out by 10th May.Currently, the parents have began preparing their children for the July form one admissions after the release of KCPE results.

The teachers employer has relieved all the teachers and the secretariat by digitising its services.Today, the teachers can access the services at the comfort of their houses using their smartphones. This will greatly reduce the backlog of the number of teachers who used to visit the TSC headquarters for the essential services.

A few months ago,the TSC chairperson Dr Lydia Nzomo left the Commission after retiring. This resulted in the search for her replacement. After successful interviews,Dr Jamleck Muturi emerged the best alongside the appointment of a member of the Commission Mr Alfred Oyucho.

Today, the members of the parliament were debating on the two senior persons at the helm of the lucrative Commission.Luckily, the MPs have done the teachers proud by approving their appointments. This now means that they are to begin working immediately. The pride of the teachers is that some stalled or slowed down services due to lack of quorum will now be fastened.Indeed during his interview,Dr Kamau promised this.
