TSC Deputy CEO Sacked For Intimidating Principals Into Awarding School Tenders To Some Companies

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has sacked a top official over claims of soliciting for tenders from principals, corruption and abuse of office.

Deputy chief executive Kennedy Mulunda was found guilty of using his position to bully more than 10 school heads from various institutions in Western and Nyanza into awarding some companies contracts.

A team of commissioners who investigated the matter found Mulanda culpable of threatening to deal with principals who defied his orders in the event that he succeeds Dr Nancy Macharia as TSC CEO.

CEO Macharia, who terminated Mulanda's contract, disclosed that she was acting under instructions from the commissioners after thorough probe from school heads discovered enormous evidence against him.
