On 18th October this year a school in Kitui County known as AIC Kyondoni Girls Highschool was thrown into deep mourning following the death of their dear principal Madam Wairegi. The mother of this school succumbed to covid 19 after being admitted in Hospital from September. News confirmed by her family revealed that her situation was improving therefore transferred from ICU. However days after this improvement Wairegi met her death.
This was a great loss to this school including the alumni who had received her services during their stay in Kyondoni. She was a principal for the school since 2019 when her form four class passed with flying colors. Her amazing job and being a good mom to the girls will forever remain in our minds.
Wairegi was laid to rest today at her home in Nyandarua county. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, her family and Kyondoni girls teachers and students. Below are photos of the ceremony as she was being given her final respects.
Rest easy mama, you'll be in our hearts forever and your deeds will always be noticeable. You natured many people and changed generations.
