Today, it was reported in the media that a principal of ABC Kiseveni Betta Mutuku had been arrested over exam malpractice. The principal had posted Math paper two on her watssup status some minutes before the paper began. The ministry of education responded swiftly by arresting her where she recorded the statement about the allegations.
This evening, the cabinet secretary for education professor George Magoha has clarified over the issue. The CS says that upon further review, they found out that the math paper that had been posted on principal wall was fake.
"I have been assured by Officers in my ministry that the mathematics paper which was circulating in WhatsApp was fake. You don't have to worry about the credibility of the exams," said Magoha while responding to questions fielded by journalist.
This comes as a relief to madam principal as she cannot be prosecuted over information that is termed as fake. Though the ministry has cautioned teachers against engaging in exam cheating saying firm action will be taken against the culprit.
