TSC Fires More Teachers Ahead Of 10th May School Reopening

Teachers Service Commission has fired several teachers who are said to have violated TSC code of conduct and regulations.

According to the Commission, 52 teachers who were fired were found to be guilty after involving in various malpractices.

The Commission is said to have carried out the discplinary process between July 2019 and December 2020.

According to the report revealed, the majority of teachers dismissed were male who had involved in carnal knowledge.

Earlier Media reports had indicated 151,433 early pregnancies during the Corona pandemic period.

Some of the teachers who had been sacked had been involved in criminal activities while others had suffered from mental illness.

According to TSC act, the dismissed teachers can not work in any institution in Kenya unless they are reinstated by Teachers Service Commission.

Also the Commission only allows the registered teachers to apply for jobs advertiswd by the Commission. They are also allow registered teachers to teach in public or private schools or hired by school board of management
