The photos of Gift Osinya and his younger brother Satrine went viral after the terrorists attacked their church in Likoni Mombasa county in 2014 killing their mother Veronica Atieno and leaving a bullet lodged in the skull of a 18-month-old Satrine.
The two who were left helpless were later adopted by the immediate former Nairobi county boss Mike Mbuvi Sonko and have been living together as one family.
The former govenor could not hesitate registering his joy in public as revealed that the son Gift Osinya finally completed his secondary education at Lenana School.
"So today again was a moment of a great joy and big milestone for us as a family when Master Gift Osinya completed his KCSE at the Lenana School," Mike Sonko.
Sonko went ahead to narrate how the two adopted sons have been of immense blessing since he started living with them as part and parcel of his family.
"It's been with great joy that we have watched the two grow into fine young men with a promising future ahead of them," said Sonko.
Sonko also went ahead to show how proud he is as a father and prayed to God to continue blessing Gift even as he enters the next phase of life as a young adult.
"My son Gift, I am so proud of you and truly grateful to God for the blessings you have been to our lives. I pray that the God of Daniel, Meshack and Abednego who saved your life and that of your younger brother Satrine, will forever walk before you and with you all the times as you enters the next phase of your life as a young adult," said Sonko.Sonko also took the opportunity to thank and appreciate those who have been standing with them prayers and prayed to God to bless them too.
His heartwarming message and good gestures to his two adopted sons elicited positive reactions from his fans who congratulated him for accommodating the two boys.
