Mugoiri girls' high school in Muranga county is on the spot after the school's administration allegedly suspended 17 form one students who served themselves two plates of lunch on a single day.
According to the letter which was leaked online today by philanthropist Ndungu, the students who took two servings were accused of making other students miss lunch on Sunday, 16th January.
They were sent home on 19th January 2022 and are expected to return back to school on 25th January in the company of their parents to face the disciplinary committee.
Further information on the letter stated that the 10,550 Kenyan shillings fine will be used in catering for a special meal for the whole school.
The suspension letter was signed by the deputy principal.

Many Kenyans online have urged the government to take action against the school, most of them stating that the fine is unfair to the parents.
