Latest preliminary report from the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) task force has called the government to deal away from Uhuru's 2-6-3-3-3 system and adopt the 2-6-2-4-3 system of education to allow time for full incorporation.
According to the report, the new system will also see class seven and eight learners adopt unique and distinguished school uniforms from the rest of learners.
“For psychological satisfaction, the uniforms will distinguish them from the rest of learners because they will be at a higher level than their colleagues," Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA) told The Standard.

Upon reaching Standard Eight, the learners will sit for their final examinations to pave the way for their placement in senior secondary schools.
These propositions comes amid contest on the date of grade six pupils with regard of location of their Junior Secondary School where both representatives of primary and secondary task force are having divergent opinions on where will be the location of Senior and Junior Secondary Schools.
