The teaching profession is one of the most popular in the country of Kenya. It is widely known that teachers rarely struggle to secure jobs once they graduate unlike other careers. Once again, the government has made an announcement on the new employment opportunity for prospective Kenyan teachers.
The announcement which was made by the Ministry of Education of Kenya is about recruitment for primary school teachers. According to the announcement, the deadline is on 7th March 2021.
The requirements for qualifications however are tough unlike in the previous years. One is required to have obtained grade C in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) in order to qualify. Also, one should have scored a grade C in the cluster subjects of the course. The subjects are English/Kiswahili, Mathematics, any humanity and any science.
The duration of the course is three years. For people with disabilities, both the mean grade and the grade for the cluster subjects is C-.
