The schools are almost getting closed soon to mark the end of the 2020 academic calendar.The next academic calendar is set to begin on 26th July.The school calendar had to be rescheduled following the effects of Covid-19 pandemic.
The parents are happy following the recent news that school fees have been reduced for them.Next academic year year will see the schools fees reduced by 15% for the boarding school students.The day schools have to continue charging what the Government had spelt out.
Some students from some schools have shown some unwarranted behaviours in schools.Last term,many schools went down in flames due to different lamentations by the students.
Just few weeks ago,the Ainamoi Secondary School principal Mr Geoffrey Rono almost died in the hands of a student.He was beaten by a plank of wood containing a nail that left the Principal being rushed to hospital.
The burning of schools have left the parents with huge burden of paying for the damages.Towards the weekend,Tengecha Girls secondary school Dormitory got burnt.Today,the parents have woken up to another sad news as another school has gone down in flames.Highway Secondary School in South B went down in flames at night leaving the students and the school counting losses.Luckily,no student was hurt.
