A school bus ferrying Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education exam papers to various schools in Bomet Central Constituency got stuck in the mud due to the poor state of the roads following heavy rains that has been pondering the area.
The bus got stuck along the Kapnariet road in Ndarawetta ward.
Efforts by area residents to try to get the school bus out of the mud were unsuccessful. Alternative means of transport including the use of boda boda came in handy to ensure that the exams reached schools in time.
This is the second time that the students are forced to delay in starting their exams in Bomet in a period of two weeks after another bus carrying exams got stuck in Bomet East.
The area Member of Parliament Ronald Tonui has been put on the spot by the area residents. They have asked the MP to move with speed and repair the road to ensure its accessibility.
