Accordingly to Robert Alai's tweet schools in Nyando remains in dilemma if they will get opportunity to learn over increased floods level. According to the report, Kobura Girls around Ahero town is currently submerged leaving no hope for reachers as they have to share latrines with students. The school's toilet is currently submerged and they are appealing for help from the well wishers as their efforts to build a new latrine fall in deaf years.
In most occasions, students had to keep off from schools as they have no means to sail through the increased water of River Nyando which has Brocken its banks leaving the residents homeless.
According to them, they feel it is quite unfair to compete with other students which has opportunity to spend all time in school on a daily basis. In addition to that, teachers are not being paid a hardship allowance even though they always get difficulty traveling to school and others too have been displaced over the past 2 days.
In addition, they are now appealing for the Netizens to help share their story to reach the government agencies and the local area Member of parliament who spends his time in Nairobi as locals suffer.
