'Drama as 21 Students Nabbed With Bhang After Bus They Were Traveling in Was Intercepted by Police

Few weeks ago, secondary school heads meeting in Mombasa proposed drug testing for students among several measures to curb indiscipline in schools.

Parents of 21 secondary school students are reeling in shock and disbelief after their children were reportedly caught red-handed smoking bhang inside a bus, and also found with several rolls of bhang.

In what sounds like a scene from a horror movie, the students from different schools in Murang’a County had paid ride in the bus, whose conniving crew looked the other way as the students indulged in drugs.

But the party for the students was spoilt after officers, acting on a tip-off from members of the public, intercepted the vehicle which was ferrying the students to Murang'a town.

When the students were busted, some quickly disowned their jackets, which were stocked with 10 rolls of bhang.

The students were arrested and taken to a local police station for interrogation.

The driver and the conductor of the vehicle were also arrested and will remain in police custody after which they will be arraigned in court at a later date.
