Government Introduces A New Reporting Format Of Assets For Public Secondary Schools In Kenya

The Ministry of Education under the leadership of Professor George Magoha has been working round the clock to ensure that education institutions in the country are well managed to ensure proper service delivery.

The Ministry which was heavily hit by the deadly Covid 19 Pandemic is now working hard to restructure itself to normal working conditions.

According to the latest directives, the government through the Ministry of Education is working to introduce a new reporting format for all public secondary schools in the country.

The new format will require school heads to report on all school assets and revenue generated in there. The format will also review the current reporting format to align it to the ongoing reforms in the management public finances for transparency and accountability in the utilization of public resources.

This has been received as bad news especially to those heads of institutions who have been acquiring illegal resources in their respective schools.
