One University Student and two High School Students Arrested Over KCSE Cheating

Police in busia have arrested two students and one University student suspected over cheating in the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary school Education (KCSE).

The mle students age between 17 and 20 are from Brother Nicholas a private Secondary school within Busia while the third suspect Oscar Karoli, is a fourth year student security management and policing at Kenya University.

They were found in possession of smartphones which contained which contained questions and answers to English paper 3 and Chemistry paper 2 according to Busia DCI Benard Wamalwa.

According to police the Headboy spotted the two students using their phones and alerted the school management the phones were recovered from students.

Police launched an investigation and have arrested Oscar Karoli who allegedly furnished the two students with the examination materials.

Karoli phone was confisticated and found to contain the same material similar to what students had been revising earlier.

Further investigation revealed Karoli received the purportedly leaked paper from a headteacher of a private school in Busia 

The fourth suspect is still at large with the three expected to be arraigned in court to answer charges of examination malpractice.
