Keith Ikinu Rigathi is the second son of the Republic of Kenya's Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua and his wife pastor Dorcas Wanjiku Gachagua. During the debates in August Election, Rigathi Gachagua introduced his son Keith as one who runs the family business. In 2010, Keith emerged with other performing high school students during the Kenya Certificate of National Examination after getting an A of 86.92 as the mean grade earning him the 17th position Nationally.
The Star identified the 29-year-old as one of the best students in the 2010 KCSE examination. The two sons of the second lady keep a low profile and keep their social media presence private and part of their life was revealed by their father Rigathi Gachagua during one of his speeches during the elections.
The family is a blessed one. With Keith being a doctor by profession, and his younger brother Kevin a software engineer, their mother has also taken part in shaping the lives of young men.
Having two fine grown-up boys, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has departed on a way to save the young men generation who have lost to drugs. She has announced programs that will serve to empower the boy child.
"We cannot afford to lose a generation of our young men. We have to take them to rehabilitation centres where they can get the assistance they so badly need"
According to Dorcas, without appropriate interventions, young men can sink into alcoholism and depression.
Among the initiatives they want to implement is enrolling those with no professional certificates in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to prepare them for the job market. She also hopes the cause will help young people realize their talents in sports and other arts.
