According to news hitting the air waves just now, nine Moi University students charged with the circulation of leaflets in Uasin Gishu county granted KSh1 million bond or KSh500,000 cash bail.
The case will be mentioned on August 22.
This interesting development comes barely hours after the kenyan deputy president William Ruto accused the president and several government officials as being the men behind the inciting leaflets.
According to Ruto several police bosses and a regional commissioner were working hand in hand and they were planning to disrupt elections by causing violence.
On the other hand, doctor Fred Matiang'i has named Ruto’s claims as baseless urging him to table evidence on the worrying claims.
Matiang'i has futher urged Ruto and his close allies to stop profiling government officers ahead of polls.
More political dramas are expected around the country with kenyans urged to preach peace and also practice political tolerance to avoid chaos during and after polls.
