The Government is determined to see that each and every child gets what he deserves in life as far as Education is concerned. This has seen the Government pay huge sums of money for students in both primary and secondary schools to facilitate their education.
However,in the country, not all students will always be willing to go to schools even if the schools are free. Some have deliberately chosen not to go to schools while others cannot still even afford the school uniforms and other amenities needed from the parents during the admissions.
The form one admissions that ended some days ago had serious issues. Some of the Principals were unearthed for taking as much as Ksh 250,000 from parents just to give form one slots to students.Luckily,TSC is on with the investigations as show cause letters are being issued.
The teachers have to be alert in schools from Monday 23rd.Education officials are set to go round in the schools to ascertain the reporting of the students in form one.The officials will also find out from the parents why their children have not reported to schools. The Government wants all the students who never reported to any school to report to the local day schools immediately.Surprisingly,CS Magoha is set to accompany the officers on the ground. This now means that teachers should be all alert since they don't know where and when the officers will land in their schools.Hopefully, the teachers have not forgotten how CS Magoha clashed with the Uasin Gishu County Director of education when one of his schools was caught unaware.
