Covid 19 virus has led to loss of innocent lives in the country since it stepped into the country in March last year.Curbing the spread of the virus has been very difficult to Kenyans whom some have deliberately chosen to assume the containment measures as set by the Ministry of Health.
Many teachers have lost their lives from the virus with at least 41 teachers being victims of the virus.The third wave is here in the country.There have been speculations that the school calendar may be interfered with again but Education CS Professor Magoha has today said that the schools will remain opened on 10th May as planned before.
As the vaccinations of the teachers go on across the nation,the teachers union Kuppet has for once been thrown into mourning after loosing a member.The death of the Chief Principal of Maralal Boys secondary school has seen Kuppet join the family members in mourning its member.Kuppet Secretary General Mr Akelo Misori has described Mr Nduva as a distinguished member.His death has come just a few weeks after receiving the Covid 19 jab.At the moment,some 70,000 teachers have been vaccinated.
