The Higher Education Loan Board has launched a bid to make Interns under the Teachers Service Commission and the Public Service commission to start paying their loans.
The board Chairman Charles Ringera stated that just like other interns under the Board of Management and Presidential Digital Talent who repay their loans monthly, those under the Teachers Service Commission and the Public Service commission should do the same.

He faulted the Teachers Service Commission for failing to make the remittance as the BOM does adding that their bid is to ensure they avail funds for other students who are in need of the same support.
Should they succeed in this, the money paid to the interns will reduce as a portion will now go to the loans they owe the government. This will apply to those who got supported by Helb during their University education.
