The country has been experiencing school fires that have been detrimental to the lives of many students.Parents have been left to carry the huge burdens due to damages caused by their children who have been victims of torching the schools.To some extent,the lives of the learners have been at risk.
The last two weeks have had schools getting torched.Some of the fires have been started by the students themselves while some have not had clear sources.All in all,the students have been left counting losses.
Two learners from Makueni mixed day and boarding primary school have sustained injuries after their dorm catching fire.The incident was reported by the teacher on duty to the police officers and the fire brigade after noticing smoke coming from the school's dorm.The fire brigade moved in swiftly to put off the fire after engulfing the student's properties.
The school has however accounted for all the learners who were in the school at the time of the incident.The school director Mr Cosmas Maweu has said that the school is now only left to look for alternative accommodations for the affected students.
