The establishment of Bunyore Teachers Training College will soon be fully complete after Governor Wilber Ottichilo today led a fundsdrive to help in structuring of the institution in North East Bunyore Ward.
"Am really happy for the area residents and the people of Vihiga at large as this will help the area grow economically. Initially, the whole idea of coming up with this Institution was an uphill task. Personally I was uncertain with the whole idea.
Thanks to the leadership of African Interior Church who took the initiative to approach me and convinced me to be involved in the whole process," allured the County Boss.
" This college will generally transform this area. People will build rental houses, businesses will grow gradually and our pieces of land will also gain value. This is one of the reasons I urge you as people of Vihiga to embrace leaders who are visionary and development oriented.
Your area Member of Parliament Honorable Omboko Milemba has been quite instrumental in the formation of this Institution," he further noted.
The County Chief Executive applauded Hon.Milemba for the over zealous support on matters of development even in adopting some of his projects while he was the MP of Emuhaya.
The Governor also noted the poor workmanship done in Ilungu Market and promised to have it restructured with immediate effect to enable traders have a conducive trading environment.
Chief Officer for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Abisai Amatalo urged the residents to embrace Vocational training as it will enable us the people of Vihiga to export skilled labour which will in turn help our Young turks to generate income and bring development back home.
