Students from Kisii University have been served with a notice from the office of the Registrar, Academic and Student Affairs urging them to clear all the outstanding fee balance and also the graduation fee before the day of graduation.[Photo Courtesy]
Through a notice seen on their official social media platforms, the students have only be given a few hours to complete the fee payment.[Photo Courtesy]
"This is to inform all the students who will be graduating on 21st December 2021 to clear their entire outstanding fee balance and graduation fees by 5p.m today 6th December 2021 through the Kisii National Bank Account. Kindly note that the deadline for finance clearance for the graduating class is tomorrow 7th December 2021 and only those with zero balance will appear on the graduation list." Their notice read in part.
However, a section of Kenyans did not agree with the decision of the university to give its students only some hours to clear the fee balances. They claim thay atleast the university should give them even a week because some students will find it difficult to raise the said amount in some hours.
