The government will from January 2023 do away with boarding primary schools for pupils learning in grades 1 to 9. New Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang' revealed on Tuesday that parents will have to take their primary schools kids to day schools
Wambui Wa Wanjihia who is a radio presenter who hosts the Kigooco Fm's breakfast show has reacted on this through her Facebook official page. According to her, she said she can remember a time when she asked Kenyans to pray for our schools but they said she was becoming too spiritual.
she went ahead and asked if the government cares about the transition process or the implications of the addition of grade 9 in primary school where they are supposed to sit down with parent teachers and stakeholders to deliberate on the issue and consider enough transitional period.
She added and said that the government should also seek to know why parents take their children to primary boarding school before coming up with such an idea. What is your view on this? Let's meet in the comments section and talk about this.
