All kenyan primary and secondary schools closed their operations temporarily last week to pave way for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to conduct the highly contentious 2022 general elections.

According to a publication by the Daily Nation, all Primary and Secondary Schools across the country are expected to resume their operations on Thursday, August 11, 2022 after a successful completion of the general elections slated for the 9th day of August, 2022.

This pronouncement essentially means that the primary and secondary schools in the country are set to reopen exactly two days after the conclusion of the general elections on Tuesday next week.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha has directed all parents and teachers to ensure that Learners resume back to school on Thursday, the 11th day of August 2022.

The learners are expected to continue with the remainder of the term 2 activities of the 2022 academic year after reopening on Thursday next week.
