Good News to Universities Students As UASU Suspends Lecturers Strike

It's a dream of every university student to go study and complete his studies in time. However after disruptions occasioned by Covid-19 pandemic in the country, Universities students were starring at another possible disruption this time due to lectures strikes.

University Academic Staff Union UASU had called on nationwide lecturers strike early last week. The university dons have been advocating for salary adjustments from the Sh10 billion deal negotiated under the 2013-2017 collective bargaining agreement. The move was going to cripple studies at universities in the country.

However it's now good news as University Academic Staff Union (UASU) have now suspended the lectures' strike that was to start today to all for talks with the government. Speaking to the mediaUASU Secretary General Constantine Wasonga said that all universities have agreed to fully implement the agreement.

This is good news to universities students as it will give them opportunity to continue with their studies without any disruption after long disruption last year due to Covid-19 pandemic. This will allow them complete their studies within the prescribed time.
