TSC In Trouble As KNUT Vows To Lead Teachers On Strike

Published 9 days ago - 19 views

Teachers Service Commission is now in trouble as Kenya National Union Of Teachers vows To Go On strike come next year 2021. This comes after the Teachers Service Commission offered employment opportunities to both primary and secondary schools.

The Teachers Service Commission boss Nancy Macharia tabled the issue of New Collective Bargaining Agreement With Teachers Unions and reached into the consensus on the new proposal of the new CBA. So the Teachers Service Commission was expected to forward the new CBA proposals to the Salaries And Remuneration Commission because it is mandated by the government to do so.

Surprisingly the Teachers Service Commission forwarded a different new CBA proposals, for the finalized new CBA proposals by both Teachers Service Commission and teachers' unions . As a result the Kenya National Union Of Teachers has vowed to lead teachers to go on strike come January 2021.

This is great trouble to the Teachers Service Commission because teachers will go on strike, when the ministry of education is expected to rush against the clock to ensure that the two years academic calendars have been completed by next year 2021
