Covid 19 disrupted learning for academic year 2020-2021 since schools were closed on March 2020 and reopened on January 2021hence losing two terms to the pandemic
Most schools were used as isolation and quarantine centres hence learning was stopped to contain the spread of infection.
When the infection rate was contained and learning was resumed the ministry if education drafted a congested time table in order to make up with the time lost during the pandemic
The academic calendar is expected to normal from January 2023 where students will be enjoying holidays as it was unlike this year where they have holidays for few days
Students are expected to adapt to the changes in the academic calendar as the ministry of education is trying to create normalcy of every activities like sports .
KCSE and KCPE will be done from march next year hence students should start early preparation to avoid involving themselves in exam irregularities.
