President William Ruto was today at the Technical University of Kenya to oversee the groundbreaking ceremony of tuition blocks in the institution and as well launching the new block that was recently constructed. He was accompanied by other leaders among them the Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja, the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, and the former Turkana governor Josphat Nanok.
During this glamourous visit, the president dropped a bombshell on the University students pursuing diploma courses. There is a sigh of relief as government plans to sponsor their education for the period at the University. The president defended his point being citing that his government yearns to foster a technological and industrial powerhouse hence utilizing the skills to advance the country's industrialization plan. He hence directed the Education CS to ensure that TVET graduates yearning for higher education are sponsored.
