Chisom Chukwuneke was the top student in the 2019 West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) after scoring a total of 7 clean As, she became the first female to score that high in the examination history which made not only her school known as Graceland college located in Enugu to celebrate her but the whole country.
According with her father Felix Chukwuneke who is a professor, Chisom later started experiencing leg pains which made him to take her to South Africa for treatment but the family was shocked to learn that Chisom was suffering from blood cancer which is popularly known as leukemia.
In November 2020 Chisom died while receiving her treatments in South Africa, it was really painful not only to the family but to Nigeria at large for losing such an academic guru who would have been of great importance to the country, may she continue resting in peace.
