George Magoha Issues Directive To Students In Grade Six

The cabinet secretary for education has given a directive to all grade six learners across the country. The statement has granted them the opportunity to select junior secondary school. The portal according to the ministry will be open next week amid political tension.

The ministry of education has gazetted 2300 secondary schools to offer places for the incoming students. There are more than ten thousand secondary schools in the country. Almost two thousand of them are private schools.

The government expects the private schools to construct more than five thousand classrooms by January next year. Magoha has revealed that more than seven thousand classrooms have been constructed. The buildings are complete and ready to host students.

The placement procedure will be similar to that of joining form one. Learners are supposed to be admitted afresh. The state wishes to place students near their homes. This is a move to reduce the possible financial burden.
