Nairobi city county governor Johnson Sakaja has announced free transport for all school children within Nairobi city as the students will be going home for holidays.

Governor Sakaja has said that the status that will carry students will not be charged anything by the county government and would also not charged if they carry excess students.

All primary and secondary schools in Kenya are expected to close next week's in order to allow for the candidates in grade six,class eight and form four students to sit for their national examinations that will begin in a few days.
The country will for the first time witness three national examinations done as grade six learners will be the first to progress to junior secondary school under the competence based curriculum.
