Education cabinet secretary George Magoha has urged the teacher not to sent form one students home due to lack of school uniforms. Speaking in Nyeri while overseeing form one's admission he said that equal opportunity should be granted to each student as they are being admitted.
He added that if a student Is from a low background but is a government sponsored school he or she should be provided with uniform then the cost to be deducted from the school fees.
He urges the regional administrator to use fair criteria while allocating scholership funds to students. He emphasized that those who are poor and can't afford to pay school fees should be given the first priority. This indicated a good move and so the it's good that the poor students should be given the first priority.
"For the sake of uniformity as one nation,as you give out scholership in the respective section you should consider needy students first," noted Magoha.
