Education Cabinet secretary George Magoha
Education is a grave matter that always touches directly on individual and their wellbeing. It's always said that a well educated society is a positive mark to the future of a nation because of the rising technology and cold war. In Kenya, education is a basic need and right for every child and the government always takes a firm stand to ensure that this policy is always implemented across the country. A child education journey beings at early childhood all the way to the university or college level where afterwards he/she can now decide to further study or not.
With the coming of the 2010 constitution and the devolution saw the early childhood education responsibility given to county government while primary and secondary education left at the national level. This has created a difference in the way these two are managed interms of development and salary to tutors. Most ECDE teachers blame the county government of always subortaging their efforts in terms of salaries and employment.

With all the complains, the government has decided to put an end to the problem faced by the two bodies. It has gazetted the early childhood education sector which tentatively means they are taking away the function from county government to national government under the ministry of education. This will be of great importance to the tutors as they will be able to bargain for their rights efficiently with the ministry.
