While speaking during a press conference on Wednesday August 17th, the Education CS admitted that serving in his capacity was not easy because he had to be firm in some situations.
"I want to thank you for having walked with me and having taken the good, the bad and the ugly side of me because that is a human being," said the CS.
"There is nobody who is perfect, I believe that in order for me to be given the opportunity to serve in this capacity it was purely by the grace of God."
CS Magoha further acknowledged that he may have come off as conceited, particularly at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic that struck sometime back, but that he had to step up and take firm leadership roles as is required.
Magoha also apologized to Kenyans and insisted that he had fulfilled his mandate of serving Kenyans at various capacities in the government.
"It has not been easy being a CS for education during COVID and in order for me to move things forward I have been very firm and in between the firmness I have cracked certain jokes," said the CS.
"I want to say without any fear of contradiction that if any of those jokes have gone to the wrong side, that was not the intention and my apologies to the general public about that."
Kenyans on social media could not fail to notice that the CS was hinting at his retirement as some of them took to Twitter to congratulate him on his leadership most so in the education docket. Some however pointed out his shortcomings while in service.
