Wangui Ngirici was born in 1978 in Kirinyaga County. She's currently serving as Kirinyaga women representative on her first time. She entered into office in 2017 as she preceded the first women representative for Kirinyaga County Winnie Karimi Njuguna.
Wangui Ngirici is seeking to be elected as the 3rd governor for Kirinyaga County, competing with the incumbent governor Anne Waiguru. Wangui Ngirici is a graduate from University of London, with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
The constitution of Kenya requires every Gubernatorial candidate to be in possession of degree from any recognized university. Ngirici's degree has been allegedly termed as fake and information emerge that the certificate was obtained through corrupt means.
According to the report from Kenya Broadcast corporation (KBC), Wangui Ngirici is set to appear before the judge in Milimani high Court to defend herself against the three petitions that have been filed against seeking to bar her from Gubernatorial race.
On the other hand, Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja has dealt a major blow as information leaks out that he did not study in Team University in Uganda.
