On Wednesday afternoon, a high school teacher was shot outside the building on July 27. Mr Cyrus Kariuki was killed when the attackers ambushed him and sprayed bullets at him.
Mr Letakaithe principal traveled that the victim was on his way to a hospital in Baragoi town to receive medication after feeling ill throughout the morning.
"There are allegations that he was shot by unknown gunmen but our team is on the ground conducting investigations to find out the motive," Mr Oloo stated.
The body of the deceased is being preserved at Samburu County Referral Hospital Mortuary in Marshal town.
Police officers from the crime scene spoke to the media and said that the school was closed so that authorities would have enough time to analyze the situation.
It is a sad day for the students and school authorities. The school academics previously have been very low. Now with one experienced teacher down and an abrupt holiday full of sorrow the students will have to work harder.
