Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) awards loans to students in institutions of higher learning to fund their education. HELB enhances equity in higher education by awarding loans and bursaries to needy Kenyan student. This loans are not automatic and have to be applied for, it attracts interests of 4% p.a and the students are required to repay their loans on completion of their studies
Trough its official twitter account, on Tuesday, Higher Education Loans Board announced application for Second and Subsequent TVET loan, the institution invited applications from Kenyan students admitted in government-sponsored or self-sponsored programs
It is advisable for applicants to apply at least one month before opening date to allow time for processing and remittance
Those students who are not Safaricom subscribers are encouraged to apply using the application form, after filling the form they will print and submit it to the HELB student service centre on Mezzanine 1 floor at Anniversary Towers.
