Education had been considered the best weapon to conquer poverty especially in African countries after independence. It was also regarded as almost a basic need because life without education was the worst .
Government's across the world have been trying to ensure that education is rendered to all. This is made possible through hiring of human resources , supply of learning materials and building of learning institutions in all parts of a country to enhance accessibility.
University education is the hallmark of learning and is considered the most expensive of all . According to Business Daily Africa , University of Nairobi is set to increase fees by 118 percent .This amounts to a huge blow to many of its students who struggle daily to get the little that they can use to finance their education.
The fee increment is going to affect the liberal arts masters courses like communication and MBA. Degree programs under parallel like law, Commerce and economics are not going to be spared also.
