Sigh of Relief as Girl Who Begged For School Fees on The Streets Finally Gets Help

Mellan Njeri, a form two student at Kahumbuini Secondary school in Murang'a county made many Kenyans emotional today after she carried a placard on the streets begging for school fees so that she could continue with her education.

She had been sent home because of school fees balance amounting to 29,177 Kenyan shillings.

At 1:45 PM, she had walked across most of the major streets in Nairobi CBD but hadn't managed to raise even 500 Kenyan shillings.

Philanthropist Ndungu Nyoro has now confirmed that her school fees has been paid by a well-wisher who is one of his followers on Facebook and the girl will go back to school tommorow.

"I can confirm the fee balance has been cleared by one of us here. Meeting the girl tomorrow for way forward. Mtoto wa Mungu atasoma." Wrote Ndungu Nyoro on his Facebook page.

The opera news hub family wishes the young girl all the best as she continues with her studies.
