Mang'u National Boys' High School. Mang'u boys are one of the best national secondary schools in Kenya. This school is located in Kiambu County, along the busy Nairobi Thika Highway and a few kilometres from Thika town. It was founded by Michael Joseph Witte in 1925.
It is therefore one of the oldest secondary schools in Kenya. Mang'u Boys is the only national public school to own an aeroplane. This school has a plane thanks to the Aviation Program which was introduced in 1939 by the Marianist Brothers.
The aviation program focuses on technical skills such as propulsion, thermodynamics and meteorology.
This facilitated the inculcation of the basic aviation skills required for advanced study in the students. In addition, the Mang'u boys are famous for their impressive academic performance. It shines in local and national reviews.
On the KCSE 2020 exam, the Mang'u boys scored an average score of 9.868 B. Boys also perform better in rugby and football when it comes to educational activities.
