Teachers service commission has revised interview score sheet to favour teachers on internship program. In the new score sheet that has been issued by the commission, the teachers who are currently service the commission the on internship contract have given 10 marks that will be of advantage. For the Teachers to given the 10 marks will be required to provide internship appointment letter or internship payslip as evidence.

The commission has declared 11,574 teaching post across the nation. The commission is set to employ 5000 teachers to support 100% transition programme. Additionally the commission will be employing 6,574 teachers to replace those who have exited teaching profession. All 10,000 teachers serving on internship contract currently are likely to be observed by the commission, because they an upper hand over teachers that are not on contract.

However, the new score sheet may only affect teachers with art based combination like History/Religion,History/Geography,History/kiswahili, Kiswahili/Religion and English/Literature. Teachers with science based combination may not be affected by 10 marks for internship. They are few and their demand is high. Therefore there are high chances of science teachers to be employed without internship experience.
